On the Pulse of Assam: Fast, Accurate, Unmatched

Claiming there is “no benefit in voting for Congress,” Assam Chief Minister Himanta Sarma explains why

On Monday, the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, made a remark that was directed at the Congress party. He stated that there is no advantage to voting for the Congress party because the winner will eventually join the Bharatiya Janata Party after they are elected. He began his election campaign in the Karimganj district BJP headquarters, where he also addressed the party workers’ meeting. Sarma stated that no candidate wants to remain in the Congress party and wants to join the BJP. He made this statement while he was addressing the meeting. The issue at hand is whether or not the candidate for Congress will continue to serve in their current position. These days, nobody wants to remain a member of the Congress party; everyone wants to join the BJP. If I am successful in bringing all of the candidates for the Congress party, with the exception of one, to the BJP, then what will be the advantage of voting for the Congress party? There is credit for this. “We are the moon, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the sun,” Sarma was reported as saying by the organization ANI, which is a news agency.
